Team training at Performance Sports Therapy
Our team training program is built around your sport and your season. Athletes train together, with a program designed for the demands of their game and attention to each player as an individual.
Sport-specific training
Instead of a generic workout, your trainer builds sessions around the skills, strength and agility your sport asks for, whether you compete on a court, a field, a track or the ice.
Individual attention
No two athletes have the same needs. Each player is assessed, and the program accounts for their strengths, the areas they need to work on, and their goals.
Team building
Group sessions and team-building work give players a shared standard to train to, which carries over to how they communicate and compete together.
More than conditioning
Alongside physical preparation, the program covers mental readiness, injury prevention and recovery, so your team can hold its level through a full season.
Care in the same building
Physiotherapy, chiropractic, massage therapy and concussion management are all in the same clinic, so an injured athlete can be assessed here and have their training adjusted.
Contact us to set up a consultation and we will put together a plan for your team.

Common questions
How does team training work, and how do I book for a team?
Team training gives your whole team a program designed for your sport, run by our trainers, with attention to each athlete’s strengths and weaknesses. To book, contact the clinic to schedule a consultation: team sessions are arranged directly with us, not through online booking.
Read the full answer →At what age can kids start strength training?
Children can start supervised strength training once they are mature enough to follow instructions and practise good technique, which for many is around age seven or eight. Readiness matters more than a birthday, and the focus is on movement quality, not lifting heavy.
Read the full answer →What is the difference between personal training and sports performance training?
Personal training is a one-to-one or small-group program built around your own health, fitness and lifestyle goals. Sports performance training is for athletes: it develops the speed, power, agility and strength their sport demands.
Read the full answer →Can I keep training while I am injured?
Usually yes, with changes. Most muscle, tendon and joint injuries do better with modified training than with complete rest, as long as you are not making the injured area worse. Get it assessed first so you know what you are dealing with.
Read the full answer →Do I have to be an athlete to be treated here?
No. We treat athletes and non-athletes alike. The name comes from how we work, not from who we accept: we assess carefully, treat hands-on, and build a plan around what you want to get back to.
