Performance Sports Therapy – Ottawa

How does team training work, and how do I book for a team?

Team training gives your whole team a program designed for your sport, run by our trainers, with attention to each athlete’s strengths and weaknesses. To book, contact the clinic to schedule a consultation: team sessions are arranged directly with us, not through online booking.

What the program covers

  • Sport-specific training. Sessions are built around the skills, strength and agility your sport demands, not generic workouts.
  • Individual attention. Trainers identify each player’s strengths, address weaknesses and set goals.
  • Team cohesion. Group workouts build communication and trust among teammates.
  • More than conditioning. The program also addresses mental toughness, injury prevention and recovery strategies.

What to have ready when you contact us

  • Your sport, level and the age range of your athletes
  • How many athletes would attend
  • Where you are in your season: pre-season, in season or off-season
  • The days and times your team is available
  • Your main goals, such as speed, strength or fewer injuries
  • Any current injuries on the roster

What happens at the consultation

We discuss your team’s needs and schedule, and explain how a program would be set up. Group sizes, session times and rates are confirmed with you directly.

Health care in the same building

Because physiotherapy, chiropractic, massage therapy and concussion management are under the same roof, an athlete who gets hurt can be assessed here and have training adjusted. Our trainers and health care providers communicate to keep care continuous.

For parents and coaches of young athletes

Training for young athletes focuses on technique and gradual progression. See at what age can kids start strength training? Let us know about any medical conditions before the first session.

More detail is on the team training page. For individual athletes, see sports performance training.
