There is no single best physiotherapist for everyone. The right one for you listens well, explains clearly and has experience with problems like yours. A few simple checks can help you choose, and you can try a first visit to see if the fit feels right.

Questions worth asking

  • Do they ask about your goals, not just your pain?
  • Do they explain what they find in plain language?
  • Do they treat the kind of problem or sport you have?
  • Is the plan clear, including what you will do at home?
  • Are the hours and location realistic for you?

Check their registration

Physiotherapists in Ontario are regulated health professionals. The College of Physiotherapists of Ontario keeps a public register, so you can confirm that a clinician is registered before you book.

Think about the whole clinic

Convenience counts. Early, evening and Saturday hours, clear billing and the option of other care in the same building can all make it easier to keep going until you are better.

At Performance Sports Therapy, our physiotherapists explain what is happening and build the plan with you. If the first visit does not feel like a good fit, tell us. Finding the right match matters.
