Your first visit is an assessment and a first treatment in one appointment. You will leave knowing what is going on, what the plan is, and what to do at home.

Step by step

  1. Conversation. Your physiotherapist asks how the problem started, what makes it better or worse, and what you want to get back to, whether that is a sport, work or sleeping through the night.
  2. Physical assessment. They check how you move, your strength, and which structures are irritated.
  3. Explanation. You get a plain-language explanation of what they found.
  4. Treatment. Depending on the problem, this may include manual therapy, dry needling and exercises.
  5. Plan. You leave with home exercises and a rough idea of how many visits to expect.
