About CARLA SELWAN
Carla graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, in 2007. She has worked in the field of orthopedics since registration and has extensive experience in this field. She has pursued her education through numerous post-graduate courses including Mackenzie, Therapeutic Taping, Acupuncture (CAFCI), Manual Therapy (CPA orthopedic division), Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Concussion Management, and APTEI (Cervical Spine, Lumbar Spine, Foot and Ankle Complex).
She has taken a keen interest in chronic pain as well as dry needling which she has been practicing for the past 11 years, by taking the Intramuscular Manual Therapy / Trigger Point Dry Needling course (Kineticore).
Carla is dedicated to treating patients with diverse injuries and will always strive to ensure they reach their goals through a “hands-on” physiotherapy approach, exercise rehabilitation, evidence-based practice, and client-centered care.
In her spare time, Carla enjoys travelling, swimming, reading a good book, and spending time with her family and three young children. She is fluent in English, French, and Arabic and would he happy to serve you in either of those languages.
